FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Let me answer a few of your questions!  These are a few that I get and others that I know people wonder about.

1.  How come you charge so little for IN PERSON training?

I am able to make my training affordable simply because I do not have "overhead" and I train is small groups of 2-4 people at a time.  Since I do not have to pay "rent" because my studio is on my property I do not have to raise my rates to cover cost + pay myself a salary.

In the future I would LOVE to have a large facility and will meet this goal by either expanding or moving to another location where I can have my facility ON my property.  This is a win-win!!! Clients can continue to afford training and I can continue to make a living and work from home so I can be here for my daughter at all times.

2.  Why do you do semi-private/group training and not PERSONAL training?

I have found that with all the people I have trained (well over 300 people) that very few actually NEED personal one-on-one training.  Through accurate charting and tracking workouts, keeping the groups small and personalized I am able to accomplish the results of personal training while in a group setting.

Plus....the clients LOVE the small group.  It's more fun, motivating and supportive.  Who wants to be stared at by a trainer hovering over you, anyways?

3.  Your approach to losing weight is not the "typical" calories in and calories out, work out like a maniac and kill yourself to lose weight?

Look, that method may work for some people.....but often by the time people are having a hard time losing weight they have certain imbalances, deficiencies and habits that make that approach either unsustainable or ineffective or physically IMPOSSIBLE.

Losing weight is a personal journey and there is not a "one size fits all" approach.  People have different physiology and personalities.  What works for one person may be another person's poison. I teach people how to pay attention to their body -- honestly, it tells you what it needs.

5. What do you use the lab testing for?

In certain cases when people are not losing weight NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO.....I use functional lab testing to find out what imbalances or blocking factors may be occurring that may be hindering their body's ability to lose weight.  You can read more about that here.

And yes.....these prices for testing are extremely affordable as well.  I've seen the mark-up on these tests to be as much as 3-4x the price of the test and I just do not have the conscience to operate in that manner.  I do charge for my time in interpreting the lab results but I guarantee you.....it is reasonable and affordable because I want people to have access to health building tools without it breaking the bank.

Building health should NOT be just for the "elite".

5.  I don't get it.....what is "Holistic Fitness"?

Holistic Fitness is an approach which finds out the "why's" of your main complaint.  If your main complaint is weight gain and you want to lose weight - we focus on the root cause of the weight gain.

  • Was it all just overeating?
  • Are there any hormonal imbalances that are triggering food cravings or binges?
  • How are your stress levels?  Is cortisol an issue?
  • How is your sleep? Without adequate sleep any fat loss program will be difficult.
  • How is your digestion?  Without proper ability to break down food and absorb food - it will make weight gain more likely.

Another words - we find out WHY you wound up in this condition so you truly can recover and maintain your weight.

That's it for now!!!  If you do have any questions.....please feel free to ask!!!  I would love to hear from you.
